About Holle A2 Stage 1 Organic

Holle A2 Stage 1 Organic Infant Milk Formula is a biodynamic, Demeter certified organic cow’s milk based infant formula from cows with the A2 beta-casein protein type. This formula is intended for infants up to six months of age, and can be used as a complete supplement to breast milk, or as a complementary nutrition boost to natural breast milk. Holle A2 Stage 1 is all natural, GMO free, soy free, sugar free, and corn syrup free.

For older babies, this lactose-based formula is also available in Holle A2 Stage 2 and Holle A2 Stage 3. In addition to the A2 beta-casein protein, Holle A2 Stage 1 is rich in nutrients, essential vitamins, essential and minerals that are important for healthy infant development.

The A2 milk protein aids with human development by reducing natural inflammations, improving digestive issues, and reducing gastrointestinal discomfort. If your baby is a bit sensitive to regular cow’s milk based formulas, then switching to an A2 protein milk formula allows for a traditional milk substitute that isn’t goat’s milk.

For over 85 years, Holle has been one of the most well respected baby formula brands worldwide. Holle’s strict adherence to the Demeter standard for organic, biodynamic farming makes their formulas very clean and simple – without unnecessary ingredients. To maintain the Demeter certification, Holle has to reapply for this accolade on a yearly basis. Due to the stringent rules for ecosystem preservation and the highest level of animal welfare standards, the Demeter certification is significantly more difficult to achieve than any comparable organic certification in the United States.

How much Holle A2 Stage 1 Organic should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you’ll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby’s diet, and takes into account Holle A2 Stage 1 Organic packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the Holle’s recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated “per month”, the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical infant uses 8 boxes of Holle A2 Stage 1 Organic per month, when fed using Holle’s feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

Holle A2 Stage 1 Formula Mixing Instructions

  Sterilize

  Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing your equipment and workspace. In order to kill off any residual bacteria that may be in your water, boil 1 liter of water and leave it to cool for up to 30 minutes.

  Check Feeding Chart

  Read the feeding chart relevant to your specific formula. Depending on your baby’s age, add the corresponding water and formula ratios. Use the formula scoop provided inside of your box so as to ensure accurate measurements.

  Prepare

  Close the bottle with a sterilized cap and shake vigorously until all formula powder has been dissolved and no lumps remain. We recommend placing a nipple cap over the bottle top so as to avoid touching it with your hands.

  Check Temperature

  Baby formula is ready for feeding when it reaches body temperature (~98°F). You may cool the formula in the refrigerator in order to reach this desired temperature, and you can test the formula on your forearm to make sure it isn’t too hot. Use the formula immediately after preparation.
