About Kabrita Stage 1

This non-GMO formula for infants is made from only the finest Dutch goat milk. Kabrita Stage 1 Infant Formula is perfect for babies aged 0 to 6 months of age, and it can be used as a complete meal supplement, in combination with breast milk, or to help with weaning your baby off of breast milk. Kabrita Stage 1 is nutritionally complete and is a popular alternative to formulas which may contain the A1 beta-casein protein, rather than the goat milk A2 beta-casein protein.

Made of goat milk, this formula is gentle on the digestive system because goat milk is naturally easier to process than comparable cow’s milk formulas. This is because goat milk contains smaller fat particles which are easier for the stomach to digest than cow’s milk curds.

Also available as Kabrita Stage 2 and Kabrita Stage 3, Kabrita Stage 1 is free from nasty ingredients that many parents want to avoid, such as corn syrup, GMO’s, soy, sugar, artificial sweeteners, or any artificial preservatives. Instead, this formula is made from skimmed goat milk with natural lactose – alongside 22 essential vitamins and minerals that are extracted from natural sources. Many parents will use this formula from birth onwards.

Similar to natural breast milk, this formula is high in DHA, ARA, and Omega-3 – which are commonly thought to be critical for healthy brain and eye development in newborns. While goat milk is already naturally high in prebiotics, Kabrita Stage 1 also includes added prebiotic fibers GOS to further help build your baby’s natural gut bacteria. This formula also contains Beta-Palmitate, which helps with fatty acid metabolism, specifically increasing calcium absorption for healthy bone growth.

How much Kabrita Stage 1 should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you’ll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby’s diet, and takes into account Kabrita Stage 1 packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the Kabrita’s recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated “per month”, the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical infant uses 4.5 cans of Kabrita Stage 1 per month, when fed using Kabrita’s feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

Kabrita Stage 1 Formula Mixing Instructions

  Sterilize

  Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing your equipment and workspace. In order to kill off any residual bacteria that may be in your water, boil 1 liter of water and leave it to cool for up to 30 minutes.

  Check Feeding Chart

  Read the feeding chart relevant to your specific formula. Depending on your baby’s age, add the corresponding water and formula ratios. Use the formula scoop provided inside of your box so as to ensure accurate measurements.

  Prepare

  Close the bottle with a sterilized cap and shake vigorously until all formula powder has been dissolved and no lumps remain. We recommend placing a nipple cap over the bottle top so as to avoid touching it with your hands.

  Check Temperature

  Baby formula is ready for feeding when it reaches body temperature (~98°F). You may cool the formula in the refrigerator in order to reach this desired temperature, and you can test the formula on your forearm to make sure it isn’t too hot. Use the formula immediately after preparation.
