About Kendamil Stage 2
This nutritionally complete organic baby formula comes from a family-run manufacturer with family-first values. Kendamil Stage 2 has exploded in popularity over the last few years, and it’s no wonder given that the formula contains none of the ingredients’ you want to avoid, but has all of the organic ingredients that parents are eager to give to their little ones. Kendamil Stage 2 Follow On is appropriate for babies aged 6-12 months, and is the natural transition from Kendamil Stage 1, and the natural precursor to Kendamil Stage 3.
Adhering to highest levels of EU organic certification and overseeing the entire manufacturing operation, Kendamil only uses organic cow’s milk from British family farms. Instead of using potentially harmful palm oil, this formula contains all natural coconut oil as a substitute.
The main difference between Kendamil Stage 1 and Kendamil Stage 2 is that this follow on formula changes its whey/casein ratio from 60/40 to 40/60. This change mirrors the natural changes that human breast milk would experience at a similar stage of infant development, and prepares your baby for natural weaning off of breast milk (or in this case, weaning from formula). Additionally, the Stage 2 formula contains less fat and more lactose in comparison to Stage 1.
Kendamil Stage 2 is rich in essential minerals and vitamins C, A, D, as well as nutrients such as natural zinc. This formula also contains prebiotics, ARA, and plant-based DHA that is suitable for vegetarian diets. Kendamil does not use fish oil for DHA extraction and exclusively uses plant based marine algae for its source of DHA (Omega-3 and 6 LCPs). Additionally, Kendamil Stage 1 contains HMO’s (Human Milk Oligosaccharides) similar to natural breast milk, which helps build the immunity of your little one.
This formula does not contain any soy, NO PALM OIL, no peanuts, no maltodextrin, no starch, no GMO’s, and absolutely no synthetic ingredients. The DHA and ALA are commonly thought to help with brain and eye development. Based on full cream organic cows milk, Milk Fat Globule Membranes (MFGM) which is found in breast milk is also naturally occurring in this formula.

How much Kendamil Stage 2 should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you’ll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby’s diet, and takes into account Kendamil Stage 2 packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the Kendamil’s recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated “per month”, the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical baby uses 2.5 cans of Kendamil Stage 2 per month, when fed using Kendamil’s feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

Important Feeding Information
- Each baby formula uses different mixing proportions. Only use the scoop that is included in your formula.
- Only add water and scoops at the ratios intended by the manufacturer. Do not supplement the milk feeds with any additional ingredients.
- Do not prepare feeds in advance. In order to maintain maximum nutritional value, use the feeds immediately and dispose of any leftovers feed.
- Once prepared, feed should be used within 2 hours if stored at room temperature. Bottles cooled with a cold ice pack should be used within 4 hours. Refrigerated bottles may be used for up to 24 hours.
- Microwaves heat unevenly! Do not microwave prepared feeds as heat spots may occur.
- Once opened, formula should be used within 21 days. Any unopened formula should not be used after the expiration date printed by the manufacturer on the box.
