Lebenswert Stage 2 Organic Follow-On Infant Milk Formula is a complete alternative to breast milk and can be used as a breast milk replacement or meal supplement for babies aged six months and above. This formula is the natural transition from Lebenswert Stage 1, or can be introduced to babies who are weaning or who have never previously tried baby formula before.

Lebenswert Stage 2 is based on organic skim milk and contains organic maltodextrin which acts as a flavor and consistency balancing enhancer. Maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate that is easy to digest and releases energy slower than other simple carbohydrates. Lebenswert Stage 2 ensures that your baby receives all the vitamins and minerals required for early stage growth and development, all the while avoiding unpleasant synthetic ingredients. This formula contains no color additives and no man made flavor enhancers.

This Lebenswert formula is made with only organic ingredients that have achieved Bioland organic certification, Germany’s biggest food association. This Bioland certification means that Lebenswert formulas are based on organic cow’s skim milk from biodynamic pastures that are exceptionally animal friendly and graze in fields that are free of pesticides, fertilizers, hormones, and antibiotics. Bioland certifications are of an even higher standard than European Union organic standards – which are already more regulated than comparable organic certifications in the United States. Lebenswert Stage 2 Formula Mixing Instructions

  Sterilize

  Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing your equipment and workspace. In order to kill off any residual bacteria that may be in your water, boil 1 liter of water and leave it to cool for up to 30 minutes.

  Check Feeding Chart

  Read the feeding chart relevant to your specific formula. Depending on your baby’s age, add the corresponding water and formula ratios. Use the formula scoop provided inside of your box so as to ensure accurate measurements.

  Prepare

  Close the bottle with a sterilized cap and shake vigorously until all formula powder has been dissolved and no lumps remain. We recommend placing a nipple cap over the bottle top so as to avoid touching it with your hands.

  Check Temperature

  Baby formula is ready for feeding when it reaches body temperature (~98°F). You may cool the formula in the refrigerator in order to reach this desired temperature, and you can test the formula on your forearm to make sure it isn’t too hot. Use the formula immediately after preparation.
