HiPP Comfort was designed to be one of the gentlest formulas that is comfortingly delicate on your baby’s sensitive stomach. This formula can be used from birth, and because of its special gentle nature is suitable even up through toddler months when your baby has began eating solid foods, well past the 1 year mark. Why is HiPP Comfort so gentle? HiPP Comfort has reduced amounts of lactose that is substituted with an easy to digest vegetable oil blend beta palmitate, providing the same important natural fatty acids that are critical to your baby’s early development as you would find in a traditionally lactose-rich cow’s milk based formula.

To improve digestion, whey proteins in HiPP Comfort have been hydrolyzed and blended with natural alternative carbohydrates that make for a naturally thick and creamy formula that baby’s love the taste of. Additionally, HiPP Comfort contains both prebiotics and probiotics which help your baby develop a healthy natural gut bacteria that can improve and speed up the process of their digestive system’s development. Similar to the chemistry of natural breast milk, these same prebiotics and probiotics may also help alleviate some of the root causes of constipation, bloating, gas, and colic.

HiPP Comfort also contains naturally occurring omega-3 and omega-6 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, including DHA and ARA which are thought to be helpful with eye and brain development. This formula is rich in nutrients and essential minerals. You won’t find any soy additives, sugar, gluten, corn syrup, synthetic nutrients, or synthetic preservatives in HiPP Comfort.

Hipp Formula Copmany works directly with HiPP in Germany to deliver fresh baby formula that has a long expiration date of six months or more. Each shelf-stable can of HiPP Comfort contains 600 grams (21.2 oz) of formula powder, which yields approximately 130 fluid ounces of prepared formula.

Why is this formula not organic? HiPP Comfort contains hydrolyzed milk proteins, which cannot be certified as organic because they aren’t available in organic form. All other ingredients in HiPP Comfort are organic.

How much HiPP Comfort should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you’ll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby’s diet, and takes into account HiPP Comfort packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the HiPP’s recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated “per month”, the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical baby uses 5.5 boxes of HiPP Comfort per month, when fed using HiPP’s feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

HiPP Comfort Formula Mixing Instructions

  Sterilize

  Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing your equipment and workspace. In order to kill off any residual bacteria that may be in your water, boil 1 liter of water and leave it to cool for up to 30 minutes.

  Check Feeding Chart

  Read the feeding chart relevant to your specific formula. Depending on your baby’s age, add the corresponding water and formula ratios. Use the formula scoop provided inside of your box so as to ensure accurate measurements.

  Prepare

  Close the bottle with a sterilized cap and shake vigorously until all formula powder has been dissolved and no lumps remain. We recommend placing a nipple cap over the bottle top so as to avoid touching it with your hands.

  Check Temperature

  Baby formula is ready for feeding when it reaches body temperature (~98°F). You may cool the formula in the refrigerator in order to reach this desired temperature, and you can test the formula on your forearm to make sure it isn’t too hot. Use the formula immediately after preparation.
