About HiPP German HA Stage 1
HiPP HA Germany Hypoallergenic Stage 1 Combiotic is specifically formulated for the most sensitive of little ones, who may be showing signs of distress due to ingredients found in other baby formulas. With HiPP HA Germany Hypoallergenic Stage 1 you can help alleviate some of the causes of digestive issues, hay fever symptoms, and adverse skin reactions because of the similarities between this formula and natural breast milk.
How is this formula made to by hypoallergenic? HiPP HA Stage 1 contains long chain milk proteins that have been hydrolyzed into smaller pieces, excluding casein from the cow’s milk. Smaller whey protein is easier to digest, and therefore has a lower risk of adverse reactions to allergenic ingredients found naturally in milk. Since the hydrolysis process makes milk less viscous, for improved consistency, a small amount of starch has been added in order to keep the formula from being too runny. Because HiPP HA Stage 1 is based on cow’s milk, it is rich with lactose in the same way that breast milk is.
You can use HiPP HA Germany Hypoallergenic Stage 1 on its own as a complete nutritious meal, or use it to supplement in between breast milk meals. This formula is specially designed for infants aged up to six months, and can be followed on with HiPP HA Germany Hypoallergenic Stage 2.
HiPP HA Germany Stage 1 contains both probiotics and prebiotics for improved gut health. Additionally, this formula has natural omega-3 and omega-6 DHA and ARA that is essential for brain and eye development. This clean formula does not contain any GMO’s, soy, sugar, corn syrup, artificial flavors, or synthetic preservatives or sweeteners.
Hipp Formula Copmany works directly with HiPP in Germany to deliver fresh baby formula that has a long expiration date of six months or more. Each shelf-stable box of HiPP HA German Stage 1 contains 600 grams (21.2 oz) of formula powder, which yields approximately 130 fluid ounces of prepared formula.
Why is this formula not organic? HiPP HA German Stage 1 contains hydrolyzed milk proteins, which cannot be certified as organic because they aren’t available in organic form. All other ingredients in HiPP HA German Stage 1 are organic.
Important note: HiPP HA German Stage 1 should not be used as a medical treatment. HiPP HA German Stage 1 is a specialty formula that is designed to be gentler than other formulas but may not be suitable for babies diagnosed with a protein allergy. How much HiPP German HA Stage 1 should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you’ll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby’s diet, and takes into account HiPP German HA Stage 1 packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the HiPP’s recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated “per month”, the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical infant uses 6.5 boxes of HiPP German HA Stage 1 per month, when fed using HiPP’s feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

Important Feeding Information
- Each baby formula uses different mixing proportions. Only use the scoop that is included in your formula.
- Only add water and scoops at the ratios intended by the manufacturer. Do not supplement the milk feeds with any additional ingredients.
- Do not prepare feeds in advance. In order to maintain maximum nutritional value, use the feeds immediately and dispose of any leftovers feed.
- Once prepared, feed should be used within 2 hours if stored at room temperature. Bottles cooled with a cold ice pack should be used within 4 hours. Refrigerated bottles may be used for up to 24 hours.
- Microwaves heat unevenly! Do not microwave prepared feeds as heat spots may occur.
- Once opened, formula should be used within 21 days. Any unopened formula should not be used after the expiration date printed by the manufacturer on the box.
