This nutritionally complete formula is suitable for infants from birth up through six months of age, and can be used on its own or as a supplement to breast feeding.

How is this formula made to by hypoallergenic? HiPP HA Stage PRE contains long chain milk proteins that have been hydrolyzed into smaller pieces, excluding casein from the cow’s milk. Smaller whey protein is easier to digest, and therefore has a lower risk of adverse reactions to allergenic ingredients found naturally in milk. Since the hydrolysis process makes milk less viscous and because no starch has been added for consistency, this formula has a relatively thin consistency, which may make it easier for some babies to digest. Because HiPP HA Stage PRE is based on cow’s milk, it is still lactose-based in the same way that breast milk is.

To improve natural gut health, HiPP HA Stage PRE contains probiotics and prebiotics. For additional help with brain, eye, and nervous system development HiPP HA Stage PRE contains omega-3 and omega-6 DHA and ARA. As your baby grows, this formula is also available in HiPP HA Stage 2.

Why is this formula not organic? HiPP HA Stage PRE contains hydrolyzed milk proteins, which cannot be certified as organic because they aren’t available in organic form. All other ingredients in HiPP HA Stage PRE are organic.

How much HiPP German HA Stage PRE should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you’ll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby’s diet, and takes into account HiPP German HA Stage PRE packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the HiPP’s recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated “per month”, the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical infant uses 6 boxes of HiPP German HA Stage PRE per month, when fed using HiPP’s feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

HiPP HA Stage PRE Formula Mixing Instructions

  Sterilize

  Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing your equipment and workspace. In order to kill off any residual bacteria that may be in your water, boil 1 liter of water and leave it to cool for up to 30 minutes.

  Check Feeding Chart

  Read the feeding chart relevant to your specific formula. Depending on your baby’s age, add the corresponding water and formula ratios. Use the formula scoop provided inside of your box so as to ensure accurate measurements.

  Prepare

  Close the bottle with a sterilized cap and shake vigorously until all formula powder has been dissolved and no lumps remain. We recommend placing a nipple cap over the bottle top so as to avoid touching it with your hands.

  Check Temperature

  Baby formula is ready for feeding when it reaches body temperature (~98°F). You may cool the formula in the refrigerator in order to reach this desired temperature, and you can test the formula on your forearm to make sure it isn’t too hot. Use the formula immediately after preparation.
