About Holle Goat Stage 2 Organic

Holle Goat Stage 2 Organic Follow-On Milk Formula is made of whole organic goat’s milk, and is a popular alternative to cow’s milk based baby formulas. This formula is made specifically for babies aged six months and older, and can be given to babies who have either been previously fed with Holle Goat Stage 1 or any other infant formula, as well as to babies who have never tried baby formula and are transitioning from breast milk. It is suitable for babies who are eating solid foods.

There is strong evidence to suggest that babies are able to digest goat’s milk more easily than cow’s milk. Holle Goat Stage 2 offers a complete source of vitamins, minerals, and dietary nutrition. Holle Goat Stage 2 can be used on its own, or as a supplement to breast milk. This formula is particularly helpful in alleviating constipation, cramps, and gassiness – and uses only whole organic goats milk.

This Holle formula does not contain any soy, corn syrup, or glucose syrup – and this formula is gluten free, GMO free, and sugar free. This formula does not contain prebiotic and probiotic additives.

Holle Goat Stage 2 contains both organic maltodextrin starch and organic lactose, closely resembling the proteins naturally found in a mothers breast milk. This clean formula contains essential nutrients such as iron, calcium, zinc, plus vitamins A, B12, C, and D. The formula is designed to be very simple and nutritious with natural vegetable oils, and is also available in Stage 3.

Each shelf-stable Holle Goat Stage 2 box contains 400 grams (14.1 oz) of formula powder, which yields approximately 90 fluid ounces of prepared formula.

Important note: please consult with your pediatrician if your baby has been diagnosed with a cow’s milk allergy. This formula is unlikely to be suitable for babies with cow’s milk allergies, though it may still be suitable if your baby has a cow’s milk sensitivity (and not a cow’s milk allergy). For babies with cow’s milk allergies you should instead consider a hypoallergenic formula, such as HiPP HA which contains hydrolyzed proteins that are less prone to provoking an allergic reaction.

How much Holle Goat Stage 2 Organic should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you’ll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby’s diet, and takes into account Holle Goat Stage 2 Organic packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the Holle’s recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated “per month”, the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical baby uses 5 boxes of Holle Goat Stage 2 Organic per month, when fed using Holle’s feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

Holle Goat Stage 2 Formula Mixing Instructions

  Sterilize

  Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing your equipment and workspace. In order to kill off any residual bacteria that may be in your water, boil 1 liter of water and leave it to cool for up to 30 minutes.

  Check Feeding Chart

  Read the feeding chart relevant to your specific formula. Depending on your baby’s age, add the corresponding water and formula ratios. Use the formula scoop provided inside of your box so as to ensure accurate measurements.

  Prepare

  Close the bottle with a sterilized cap and shake vigorously until all formula powder has been dissolved and no lumps remain. We recommend placing a nipple cap over the bottle top so as to avoid touching it with your hands.

  Check Temperature

  Baby formula is ready for feeding when it reaches body temperature (~98°F). You may cool the formula in the refrigerator in order to reach this desired temperature, and you can test the formula on your forearm to make sure it isn’t too hot. Use the formula immediately after preparation.
